Missing Children's Day

The annual Missing Children's Day recognizes the amazing people who help to protect children. These people include law enforcement officers, social workers, prosecutors and everyday people (i.e. teachers, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, neighbors).

Missing Children's Day Poster Contest

The Missing Persons Clearinghouse annually coordinates New York's Missing Children's Day poster contest open to 5th grade students across New York state. The theme "Bringing Our Missing Children Home" creates a platform for teachers, parents, and students to use art to raise awareness and process the emotional impact when someone has gone missing.

All state winners, their teachers, and parents/guardians will be invited to attend an award ceremony at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. All qualifying entries will be displayed at the Empire State Plaza Concourse during the week of Missing Children’s Day and may be used in state publications, exhibits and displays and on websites.
