The Capital Region Crime Analysis Center was recently recognized by the Albany and Colonie police departments for the critical role its analysts play in supporting investigations, identifying crime patterns, and providing real-time intelligence that helps their officers solve cases and keep communities safe.
Congratulations to Crime Analyst Supervisor Corinne Burns (top right), named Albany Police Department's Joan Salerno Non-Sworn Employee of the Year, and Assistant Director Ryan Meagher, Lead Crime Analyst Peter Africano, and Crime Analyst Kristin Webster (top left), who received the Colonie Police Department Civilian Award for their role in helping identify and locate suspects responsible for the robbery of an elderly resident.
The Center also received Albany PD's Law Enforcement Partnership Award for its outstanding collaboration, analytical expertise, and unwavering commitment to public safety.
These recognitions highlight the power of intelligence-led policing and the dedicated professionals whose work behind the scenes at our 11 Crime Analysis Centers across the state help deliver justice for victims and safer communities at our Crime Analysis Centers across the state.
