The creativity and talent of fifth graders across the state were on full display at this year’s Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest.
Hosted annually by the DCJS Missing Persons Clearinghouse, the contest invites students to create artwork that raises awareness about missing children and the efforts to bring them home. This year, students from 26 schools submitted 211 entries, with 165 qualifying posters judged by DCJS and State Police staff.
Congratulations to first-place winner Rose Joseph of Brooklyn, second-place winner William Ramsaroop of Queens Village, and third-place winner Khaylie Whyte of Brooklyn. Their artwork, along with all qualifying entries, is on display on the Empire State Plaza Concourse through Tuesday, May 26.
