DCJS seeks applications from village, town, city and tribal police departments, and county sheriffs’ offices outside New York City for $75 million available through its Law Enforcement Technology (LETECH) grant program.
The deadline for applications is Noon Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Agencies may submit questions about the request for applications (RFA) through Friday, July 31, 2026, with responses to those questions posted on or about Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
If any company or individual is acting on behalf of an applicant/grantee, GMS Attestation letters must be submitted to the DCJS GMS Help Desk. Further information can be found on our Applicant and Grantee Resources website.

DCJS seeks applications from municipal law enforcement agencies to fund law enforcement technologies (LETech) and applicable software/equipment – such as license plate readers, mobile and fixed surveillance cameras, unmanned vehicles, gunshot detection devices, smart equipment for patrol vehicles and officers, technology or software and other kinds of public safety equipment – to help our law enforcement partners in their efforts to support safe and thriving communities.
