The Chautauqua Pretrial Release Program operates a pretrial service program within the city of Jamestown Court that will include both ROR and RUS cases. In addition to the part time probation officer working in the Jamestown city court, Chautauqua also provide pretrial RUS services for other courts in their jurisdiction.

The Chautauqua County Probation Department and its partner agencies provides high-risk probation offenders and court referred individuals who have moderate to high-employment needs with services to decrease their risk of recidivism and increase their future potential for positive outcomes.  Assessment of risks and needs, job-readiness trainings, cognitive-behavioral interventions and job-placement services will combine to provide these individuals with an opportunity for increased income, decreased idleness and a more positive outlook on the future.  This success will lead to better overall results for the participants and increased public safety and quality of life in the community.
