2011 Juvenile Justice Symposium Series

Experts from across the country presented on model programs, called Juvenile Assessment Centers (JACs), to effectively assess justice involved youth and quickly and appropriately address their needs. Presentations included information about promising JAC models in Miami-Dade County, Florida; Jefferson County, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; and the state of Connecticut. The models presented are successfully matching juvenile justice system responses to the individualized risks and needs presented by youth.
