The Putnam County Pretrial Release Program evaluates individuals newly committed to the correctional facility and considers those who need not be incarcerated after their initial arraignment.

The Putnam County Community Service component affords the courts and District Attorney another avenue of sentencing in an effort to alleviate weekend sentences or probation supervision which has an indirect effect in lowering the demand on the increasing jail population. The pretrial release and community service components work closely with the families of the participants, the criminal justice system and various community service organizations placing or releasing anyone, adult or minor, who is screened or referred to the program. The ATI staff works closely with the Mental Health and Treatment Court and does referrals, as are deemed appropriate.
